The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement with the Indiana Rail Road Co. (INRD).

Ballots were counted Dec. 5 and members passed the measure by a 5-to-1 majority, BLET officials said in a press release.

The new agreement governs wages, benefits and work rules for about 50 members. The agreement runs through 2023 and provides compounded general wage increases of 20.35 percent and retroactive back pay dating to June 30, 2017.

INRD is a 250-mile regional based in Indianapolis. The BLET members who work for the INRD belong to Division 204 and are a part of the CSXT-Western Railroad Lines General Committee of Adjustment.
