CSX and the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen (BRS) have tentatively agreed to a new five-year collective bargaining pact, the Class I announced today.

Terms of the agreement with BRS will provide improved wages, health care and paid time off benefits, CSX officials said in a press release. The BRS represents 1,215 CSX employees, who have yet to ratify the agreement.

The terms are aligned with 11 ratified labor union agreements with CSX, which will cover 14 different work groups and accounting for 47% of the railroad’s unionized workforce.
