Carmen union OKs officer, board member elections

On Wednesday, the Transportation-Communications International Union's Brotherhood of Railway Carmen Division certified election results for union officers and board members, who will serve three-year terms beginning Jan. 1, 2005, and ending Dec. 31, 2007.

Elected were: Phil Amadon, president; Kym Seslar, vice president; Dan Freds, recording secretary; Lowell Wheeler, financial secretary-treasurer; Steve Wilhelm, local chairman; Gene Carter, alternate delegate; Donnie Melton, board chairman; and Dan Freds and Gary Gibler, board trustees.

The union plans to install the officers at a Jan. 12 board meeting.
