Canadian Pacific Railway subsidiary the Delaware & Hudson Railway Co. recently reached a tentative two-year agreement with the Transportation Communications Union/Brotherhood of Railway Carmen, according to Carmen Division General President Rich Johnson.

The contract calls for general wage increases of 2 percent retroactive to Jan. 1, 2008; 2 percent on Jan. 1, 2009; and 2.5 percent on July 1, 2009. The pact also includes health and welfare — including cost sharing — provisions and work rule changes.

The union sent ratification ballots to members. Ballots are due March 26.
