Yesterday, Canadian National Railway Co. announced Teamsters Canada Rail Conference/Rail Canada Traffic Controllers members ratified a three-year agreement.
Retroactive to Jan. 1, the contract covering 200 dispatchers based in Montreal, Toronto and Edmonton, Alberta, increases wages and improves benefits, CN officials said in a prepared statement.
Earlier this year, CN renewed contracts with the Canadian Auto Workers and a reached an agreement — which since has been ratified — with the Canadian National Railways Police Association. CN officials continue to negotiate with representatives from four other Canadian unions.
