Geisler, Decker re-elected to BLET leadership roles

The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) announced that Dave Geisler was re-elected general chairman of the Union Pacific-Eastern District General Committee of Adjustment (GCA).

The committee represents 1,200 active members in 16 different divisions.

Geisler serves as a locomotive engineer for UP and is a member of BLET Division 133 in Denver. He joined the BLET in 1996.

Meanwhile, David Decker was re-elected by acclamation to his third term as general chairman of the New Jersey Transit GCA.

The committee represents 425 active members in four divisions.

Decker is a locomotive engineer for NJ Transit and is a member of BLET Division 272 in Dover, N.J. He started out as a trainman in 1988 and was promoted to locomotive engineer in 1990.

In 2008, Decker was elected first vice chairman of the GCA, followed by two years as general chairman beginning in 2010.
