Ontario Northland, Steelworkers' union sign off on three-year contracts

Ontario Northland and United Steelworkers Canada recently ratified two new agreements covering 120 of the passenger- and freight-rail operator's locomotive engineers, conductors, rail traffic controllers and customer service sales agents.
The three-year contracts include annual wage increases of 3 percent, retroactive to Jan. 1, 2008, as well as benefit and work rule changes.
