Ontario Northland, Teamsters Canada approve three-year contract

The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference - Maintenance of Way Employees Division recently ratified a new collective-bargaining agreement with passenger- and freight-rail operator Ontario Northland covering 182 track, bridge and building maintenance workers.
Retroactive to Jan. 1, 2008, the three-year contract includes annual wage increases, as well as "substantial improvements" to benefits and work rules, the union said.
