Dennis Pierce was re-elected to a third term as president of the Teamsters Rail Conference at its Fourth Quadrennial Convention held in Las Vegas this week.

He serves as national president of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET).

In addition, BLET First Vice President E. Lee Pruitt was elected to a third term as vice president, while David Joynt was elected to the office of secretary-treasurer.

Joynt, who serves as VP of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division (BMWED), succeeds Perry Geller, who announced plans to retire. At the convention, Geller was recognized by the delegates, officers and guests for his 12 years of service as Rail Conference secretary-treasurer.

The Teamsters Rail Conference represents more than 70,000 BLET and BMWED members who work as locomotive engineers, trainmen, and maintenance-of-way workers across the United States.
