Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) and Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 234 have extended their contract 30 days so the parties can continue negotiations.
Set to expire at midnight March 14, the contract now will expire at midnight April 14.
Local 234 represents more than 4,600 operators and mechanics in SEPTA’s City Transit Division, which includes 79 trolley and bus routes operating in Philadelphia, as well as the Broad Street and Market-Frankford subway lines.
