Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) and Transport Workers Union Local 234 have extended their contract another 60 days to June 15 so the parties can continue negotiations.
The original contract, which expired March 14, was previously extended to April 14.
Local 234 represents more than 4,600 operators and mechanics in SEPTA’s City Transit Division, and about 190 operators, mechanics and custodians in the Suburban Transit Frontier District.
