On Friday, South Buffalo Railway Co. and the United Transportation Union (UTU) reached a tentative agreement covering conductors, according to the National Mediation Board.

The parties didn’t disclose terms of the agreement, which will be presented to UTU members for a ratification vote.

Owned by Genesee & Wyoming Inc., the 12-mile South Buffalo Railway is part of the short-line holding company’s New York/Pennsylvania Region, which also includes the Buffalo & Pittsburgh and Rochester & Southern railroads.
