Yesterday, CN announced that United Steelworkers (USW) members ratified a new collective agreement. Retroactive to Jan. 1, the three-year contract covers about 2,800 maintenance-of-way workers in Canada.
The pact provides wage increases and standard benefit improvements, CN officials said in a prepared statement.
“This agreement, negotiated before the previous contact expired at the end of 2011, underscores the constructive dialogue CN has developed with the USW,” said Keith Creel, CN’s executive vice president and chief operating officer.
