The International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ Rail Conference recently changed bylaws to enable the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) and Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes (BMWED) to work together more closely.
In addition, conference members unanimously elected BLET First Vice President Ed Rodzwicz conference president; BLET National Secretary-Treasurer Bill Walpert, conference vice president; and BMWED National Secretary-Treasurer Perry Gellar, conference secretary-treasurer.
Conference officials also named BLET National President Don Hahs special advisor to Teamsters General President James Hoffa on collective bargaining issues.
