Teamsters rail conference ratifies CPR contract
advertisement
The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) recently ratified a five-year contract with Canadian Pacific Railway.
Expiring Dec. 31, 2011, the pact provides wage increases and benefit improvements.
TCRC — which represents 4,500 CPR locomotive engineers and conductors in Canada — reached a tentative agreement in December. The parties had instituted a "no strike/no lockout" policy in mid-November after union members narrowly rejected a previous tentative five-year pact negotiated in September.
