A majority of United Transportation Union-represented employees at York Railway Co. recently approved a new agreement with the union.

The contract includes a signing bonus for engineers, conductors, brakemen and car inspectors, and provides wage increases through January 2009.

Owned by Genesee & Wyoming Inc., the 40-mile York Railway operates an eastern Pennsylvania line and interchanges with CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern Railway.
