Travero, a logistics solutions company affiliated with Alliant Energy, announced yesterday that construction is underway at Logistics Park Cedar Rapids (LPCR) in Fairfax, Iowa.

Scheduled to open in September 2021, LPCR is being built on a 101-acre site. When completed, it will include a 259,000-square-foot, rail-served warehouse for customers to distribute, consolidate or store goods, Travero officials said in a press release.

LPCR will be situated 5 miles from U.S. Highway 30/Interstate 380 interchange, which will offer an easy-to-access location for both road and rail to benefit truck and rail customers, they said. Cedar Rapids & Iowa City Railway Co. (CRANDIC Rail) will serve the facility.

LPCR is being constructed with Alliant Energy's Big Cedar Industrial Center, Iowa's first certified mega site, which includes 1,391 acres available for development.
