Cornerstone Systems opens Boston-area office

Cornerstone Systems recently opened an office in Boston suburb Hopedale, Mass., that will serve as the company’s national rail-car operations center. The firm previously managed rail logistics business from its Memphis, Tenn., headquarters.

Vice President of Business Development Burke Anderson will oversee sales and marketing at the new office, which also will provide intermodal and trucking logistics services.

Cornerstone named Leesa Bennett director of operations and Diane Anastas, rail-car operations coordinator for the new location. Anastas will report to Bennett, who most recently held various transportation positions with the Hub Group.

Cornerstone provides intermodal, rail-car, truck brokerage, dedicated carriage, on-site management, warehousing and spotting services.
