advertisement
Design firm Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. (VHB) recently acquired transit planning consultant BMI-SG.
Formed in 1982 as Bellomo-McGee Inc., BMI merged with transit planner SG Associates in 2003. The firm provides transportation planning, engineering and research services to federal government agencies, research organizations, and public- and private-sector clients.
VHB provides transportation, land development and environmental services.
"The merger of our two firms creates a stronger presence in the northern Virginia and Capital district markets," said Mark Carragher, VHB senior vice president-transportation services, in a prepared statement.
To be renamed BMI-SG: a VHB company, the firm will maintain BMI-SG’s offices in Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina.
