A. Stucki Co. recently announced the completion of a management-led buyout of the railroad product operations of A. Stucki parent firm Hansen Inc. The purchase includes A. Stucki, its Independent Draft Gear and American Industries divisions, and international subsidiaries Stucki do Brazil, Stucki de Mexico and A. Stucki (Ukraine) Rail. Terms weren’t disclosed.
A. Stucki and its subsidiaries will continue to be led and operated by the current management team. The company will continue to produce dynamic control and brake products for freight cars through A. Stucki, and offer car reconditioning and repair services through Independent Draft Gear and American Industries.
“The deal … is a critical move in our ongoing effort to grow our product offerings and level of service we offer in the rail-car industry,” said A. Stucki President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Kiefer in a prepared statement.
A. Stucki and its subsidiaries supply constant-contact side bearings, resilient friction shoes, hydraulic stabilizers, draft gears and brake beams, and provide car and locomotive component repair and reconditioning services in North America, and supply side bearings and other components in eastern Europe and South America.
