Hansen Inc. adds ASF-Keystone's friction draft gears to subsidiary's product line
advertisement
Hansen Inc. recently acquired a friction draft-gear product line from ASF-Keystone Inc.
Parent company of Independent Draft Gear and A. Stucki Co., Hansen obtained the K25 (M901E) draft gear, and K250 (M901E) and K2500 (M901G) elastomeric draft gears. Hansen also acquired ASF-Keystone's friction draft-gear reconditioning business and production equipment from a McPherson, Kan., facility.
The transaction includes a long-term supply agreement under which Independent Draft Gear will provide ASF-Keystone — an Amsted Industries Inc. subsidiary — friction draft gears for re-sale.
The acquisition enables Independent Draft Gear to serve the new rail-car market in addition to offering reconditioned draft gears to car-repair customers, according to a prepared statement.
In January, Hansen acquired Independent Draft Gear, which now is an A. Stucki business unit.
