International Motion Control’s (IMC) board recently approved a purchase agreement under which the company will be sold to ITT Corp.

Owner of ENIDINE Inc., which markets energy absorption, vibration isolation and motion-control products, IMC is divided into four operating groups: automation, controls, energy absorption and distribution. The company operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Korea and China.

The purchase agreement calls for IMC to become part of ITT’s Motion & Flow Control Division. ITT also operates separate fluid technology, defense electronics and services, and electronic components divisions.

“[IMC] is synergistic and complimentary to ITT’s products,” said Motion & Flow Control Division President Nick Hill in a prepared statement. “ENIDINE … will become a cornerstone of our division.”
