OmniTRAX seeks to lease, operate CSXT lines in Alabama

OmniTRAX Inc. has filed an exemption notice with the Surface Transportation Board to lease about 122 track miles in Alabama from CSX Transportation.
The transaction includes a line between Birmingham and Guntersville, and a branch line in Moragne.
OmniTRAX — which owns and operates 10 short lines in the United States and Canada — plans to establish new short line Alabama & Tennessee River Railway L.L.C. to operate the lines.
