Progressive Rail Inc. recently acquired the Central Midland Railway (CMR), which operates more than 50 track miles between Rock Island Junction in St. Louis and Union, Mo.
CMR connects with the six Class Is serving St. Louis via the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis interchange hub.
Progressive Rail operates five lines totaling more than 110 miles in Minnesota and Wisconsin and handles more than 14,000 carloads annually.
