Last week, The Andersons Inc. announced it acquired Hydroflow Systems L.L.C. and the Systems Equipment Division (SED) from Master Chemical Corp. The companies will become part of The Andersons Rail Group’s fabrication business unit. Terms weren’t disclosed.

Hydroflow and SED supply filtration systems and fluid recycling units to the worldwide metalworking industry. Hydroflow co-founder Jim Lupien will serve as general manager of Hydroflow Filtration Systems; SED President David Semersky will serve as GM of the Systems Equipment Division.

“The acquisition expands the company’s product offerings while capitalizing on the manufacturing expertise of the Rail Group's fabrication business unit,” said The Andersons President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Anderson in a prepared statement.

The Andersons Rail Group provides rolling stock leasing and management, and car repair services, supplies rail components and fabricates steel.
