The Indiana & Ohio Railway Co. (IORY) and Indiana & Ohio Central Railroad Inc. (IOCR) recently filed an exemption notice with the Surface Transportation Board seeking approval to merge.
Owned by RailAmerica Inc., the short lines plan to combine under a corporate restructuring and be named the Indiana & Ohio Railway Co.
IORY operates over 498.2 track miles in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana; IOCR operates over 261.6 track miles in Ohio.
