FreightCar America Inc. recently appointed Tom McCarthy to the newly created position of vice president of human resources and named Larry Trusdell general counsel.
Most recently senior VP of human resources for GE Rail Services, McCarthy will be responsible for all labor functions, including union contract negotiations.
Trusdell, who most recently served as VP of law and corporate secretary for W.W. Grainger, has extensive domestic and international law experience. He will be responsible for legal compliance and contracts.
FreightCar America builds coal, flat, mill gondola, intermodal and coil steel cars, and motor vehicle carriers.
