GATX Corp. recently appointed Robert Zmudka vice president and executive director-strategic sales and Katie Hadenfeldt, director of strategic sales.

Both executives will be responsible for GATX's Class I customers and renewable fuels markets, including ethanol, biodiesel and other bioenergy products. In addition, Zmudka will oversee Canadian sales operations.

Since joining GATX in 1989, Zmudka has served in various commercial and asset-management positions, most recently as VP of Midwest regional sales.

Hadenfeldt joined GATX in August after spending the previous six years at Union Pacific Railroad, where she served as senior business manager for ethanol development and sales. Prior to UP, Hadenfeldt was an inbound rail logistics manager at International Paper.

GATX provides lease financing and related services to the rail and marine industires.
