Key customer orders uni-level securement systems from Portec Rail Products

A key strategic customer recently placed an order with Portec Rail Products Inc.'s Shipping Systems Division for 100 car sets of the WinChock™ Uni-Level Securement System for installation on TTX Co.'s new uni-level cars.

An article from the Sept. 25 edition of our Daily News incorrectly stated that Trinity Industries Inc. would install the WinChock systems on TTX's cars, which are expected to enter service in first-quarter 2008.

Here's the remainder of the article from the 25th:

The WinChock system is designed to secure large rubber-tired vehicles, such as Class VIII tractors, buses, fire trucks, and recreational and industrial vehicles, on rail cars. Portec Rail recently introduced the system as an alternative to move large vehicles from a production facility to distribution points via rail instead of truck.

Portec Rail supplies rail joints, anchors and spikes; railway friction-management products; railway wayside data-collection and data-management systems; and load securement systems.
