CIT Rail Resources recently named Jeffrey Lytle senior vice president. He will be responsible for increasing tank-car leasing business, and expanding the company’s plastic and pressure-differential hopper car fleets.

Most recently SVP of sales for GE Rail Services Inc., Lytle previously held various management positions at Ashland Chemical.

"Jeff … has a wealth of industry-related experience, with over 10 years in rail together with seven years in the plastics/chemical industry," said CIT Rail Executive Vice President George Cashman in a prepared statement.

CIT Rail owns and manages a fleet of more than 65,000 rail cars and 500 locomotives.
