GATX Corp. recently named Deborah Golden vice president and general counsel to succeed Ronald Ciancio, who is retiring after serving the company for 25 years. Ciancio — who joined GATX in 1981 as a senior attorney and was appointed general counsel in 2000 — plans to serve as an advisor to Golden until March 31.
Most recently VP and general counsel for Midwest Generation, Golden previously served stints as legal counsel to Illinois’ governor, assistant general counsel for SBC Communications Inc./Ameritech Corp. and partner at Schiff, Hardin & Waite.
GATX provides lease financing and related services to the railroad, air and marine industries.
