DTE Rail Services recently named Mark Jarrett division manager of the company’s Clinton, Ind., rail-car repair and maintenance facility.

Jarrett previously served Amtrak for more than 27 years, most recently as chief of staff and administrator of the Beech Grove, Ind., maintenance facility. He also served stints as an electrician and computer engineer in Amtrak’s intercity engineering department, where he developed and managed a computer-based tracking program designed to detect passenger-car defects. Jarrett holds the program’s patent.

A DTE Coal Services subsidiary, DTE Rail Services provides car repair and maintenance management, and shipment tracking and management services.
