A. Stucki Co. recently created new chemical and mechanical engineer positions within its engineering department.

Primarily responsible for A. Stucki's elastomer product line, the chemical engineer will be charged with developing and improving existing products, and creating new products. The mechanical engineer will be responsible for the casting, forging and design aspects of A. Stucki product lines.

The new engineers will help reduce production costs and expand product lines, said A. Stucki Vice President of Engineering Jim Kennedy in a prepared statement.

A. Stucki and its American Industries, Independent Draft Gear and A. Stucki Rail subsidiaries supply constant-contact side bearings, resilient friction shoes, hydraulic stabilizers, draft gears and brake beams; provide freight-car and locomotive component repair and reconditioning services in North America; and supply side bearings and other components in eastern Europe and South America.
