AAR OKs another Kelso Technologies pressure-relief valve

advertisement

The Association of American Railroads (AAR) recently approved Kelso Technologies Inc.'s JS75H pressure-relief valve for tank cars.

The external valve is designed to help ethanol shippers and tank-car lessors reduce non-accidental ethanol releases — such as leaks and splashes caused by improperly secured or malfunctioning valves — during rail-car moves. The JS75H valve features a stainless steel body and components, and non-stem design.

The AAR previously approved Kelso's JS75 pressure-relief valve, and the AAR's Tank Car Committee previously approved the company's JS75L and JS165L low-flow valves.
