Amsted Rail Group consolidates three subsidiaries' engineering departments into two divisions

Yesterday, The Amsted Rail Group announced ASF-Keystone Inc., Brenco/QBS and Griffin Wheel Co. have consolidated engineering functions into the Amsted Rail Group Engineering and Amsted Rail Group New Product Development divisions.

To head each group, Amsted Rail Group promoted Brenco/QBS Vice President of Engineering Craig Norris, and ASF-Keystone VP of Engineering and Product Development Tom Berg to VP of engineering-Amsted Rail Group and VP of new production development-Amsted Rail Group, respectively.

A Brenco executive since 1991, Norris will be responsible for all engineering services and field support; an ASF-Keystone exec since 1999, Berg will be responsible for all product development functions.

ASF-Keystone, Brenco/QBS and Griffin Wheel supply rail-car trucks, draft sills, couplers, draft gears, cushioning units, bearings and cast-steel wheels.
