Simmons Machine Tool Corp. recently named David William Davis president and chief operating officer.
Most recently chief executive officer of Jenoptik Polymer Systems Inc., Davis previously served as president and COO of Simmons Machine Tool Group from 1988 to 1998.
His resumé also includes stints as president and CEO of Precitech Inc., and vice president of sales and marketing and VP of operations for Motorola Inc.
Simmons Machine Tool produces and maintains rail vehicle wheels, axles and wheel sets, and provides machine tools for freight-rail and transit systems in the United States and abroad.
