Late last month, Federal Railroad Administration officials visited Boatright Enterprises Inc.'s rail-gear facility in Birmingham, Ala., to monitor inspection procedures.

Officials witnessed a demonstration of rail-gear inspections and discussed FRA regulations on annual maintenance-of-way equipment inspections with Boatright Enterprises executives. FRA officials determined the supplier meets all federal requirements for inspecting hi-rail vehicles.

"It [was] a privilege to have the FRA visit our rail-gear facility and validate the procedures we exercise pertaining to rail-gear inspections," said Boatright Enterprises President Shane Boatright in a prepared statement.

In addition to rail-gear equipment, Boatright Enterprises supplies crossties, vegetation and brush control chemical products, and communications accessories.
