Yesterday, Global Railway Industries Ltd. announced subsidiary YSD Industries Inc. obtained a $1.3 million contract to
supply doors for 150 new box cars. The purchaser wasn’t identified. Delivery is expected to be completed by year end.

Since purchasing YSD out of bankruptcy in April 2004, Global Railway installed a new production line and implemented a quality-control program.

“Our investment over the past 12 months in state-of-the-art machinery has given YSD the ability to provide customers a cost-effective door,” said Global Railway Chief Executive Officer Mike Kohut in a prepared statement.

Through subsidiaries YSD, Bach-Simpson Corp., G&B Specialties, Prime Railway Services and Rafna Industries Ltd., Global Railway supplies rail-car doors, event recorder monitoring/control systems, train speedometers, track and signal components, and railgear.
