Kelso Technologies lands pressure relief valve order from Rescar Industries

Kelso Technologies Inc. recently obtained an order for JS75 SRV pressure relief valves from rolling stock maintenance service provider Rescar Industries Inc. — Kelso’s second order since the company began selling the valves in August. Kelso obtained its first order from an undisclosed U.S. chemical producer and tank-car fleet operator.

The valve is designed to prevent product contamination and back pressure, eliminate the need for a safety valve nozzle and be retrofitted to existing tank cars. Smaller and lighter compared with other pressure-relief valves, the JS75 SRV features an unobstructed opening and flow aperture. Kelso continues to market the valve to North American oil and gas, and chemical shippers and tank-car lessors/owners though a recently formed U.S. subsidiary.

“It is becoming very clear that Kelso’s pressure relief valve technology is gaining market/industry acceptance at a far greater pace than we originally envisioned,” said Kelso President and Chief Executive Officer John Carswell in a prepared statement.
