MET Laboratories certifies Salco Technologies’ remote monitoring device and sensors

advertisement

Salco Technologies L.L.C. recently received MET Laboratories’ certifications for the EverSee2 satellite communications device and monitoring sensors.

The UL913 “Intrinsically Safe Certifications” approve the EverSee2 and its monitoring sensors for intrinsically safe applications, such as transportating, loading and unloading a flammable liquid or compressed gas, or an oxidizing material. For freight-rail applications, the certification is required for remote monitoring equipment installations as outlined by the Association of American Railroads.

A battery-operated, solar-charged telemetry remote-monitoring device, the EverSee2 uses low orbiting satellites to determine the location of non-powered assets and transmits Global Positioning System coordinates. The device meets U.S. Department of Homeland Security and legislative freight-rail security requirements.

A member of the Salco family of companies, Salco Technologies is a communications supplier specializing in asset tracking/remote monitoring equipment solutions for the rail and container markets.
