Midland Manufacturing retools valve remanufacturing program

Midland Manufacturing recently expanded its valve remanufacturing program so customers can re-qualify tank-car valves currently in service and restore the components to like-new condition.

As part of the expansion, Midland plans to complete several capital improvements, including upgrades to clean, blast and inspection equipment, and the installation of a machining center and automatic testing equipment.

In addition, a team of five dedicated personnel will establish customized programs to ensure faster turnaround times on tank-car valves, and collect performance data and provide statistical analyses to help customers plan maintenance intervals and re-qualification programs.

A division of the OPW Fluid Transfer Group, Midland provides tank-car safety valves and equipment, as well as bottom and top loading and unloading valves, pressure-relief valves, level gauge devices and monitoring equipment.
