Miner Enterprises to supply outlet gates for CPR's grain hopper fleet

advertisement

Canadian Pacific Railway recently awarded a contract to Miner Enterprises Inc. to supply 5,600 AutoLOK® II outlet gates for grain hopper cars.

To comply with a Canadian government order, CPR is implementing an extensive maintenance program for its 6,300 grain hoppers. As part of the program, the railroad will replace discharge gates with Miner’s AutoLOK II gates during the next five years.

AutoLOK II gates feature a patented automatic locking/unlocking mechanism that unlocks a gate before a car door moves, helping to prevent gate damage and reduce maintenance costs.

Miner Enterprises supplies various rail-car components, including high-capacity draft gears, TecsPak® constant-contact side bearings, brake beams and heavy-duty unloading systems.
