NYCT rolls out haz-mat response vehicle

MTA New York City Transit recently took delivery of a customized emergency response vehicle that will serve as the primary mobile resource and support center for the agency’s 100-person volunteer hazardous materials team.
The $336,000 truck will carry specialized haz-mat response equipment. The vehicle can carry up to 10 of the volunteers in the event of a chemical or biological compound release in the subway system.
