On Dec. 17, National Rail Car Inc. broke ground on a construction project at its Roscoe, Texas, rail-car repair facility.

The company received state and local funds for the project, under which National Rail Car plans to expand and modernize the plant.

"These resources allow us to diversify our business activity, adding stability to what has been a cyclical industry," said National Rail Car Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Albert Weldon in a prepared statement.

National Rail Car provides repair and maintenance services for rail cars, road trailers and trucks.
