Progress Rail Services to use ExpressYard software at rail-car repair shops

advertisement

ExpressYard recently obtained a three-year contract from Progress Rail Services Corp. to deploy software designed to manage freight-car repair billing functions and car repair facilities’ daily operations.

ExpressYard will provide wireless handheld hardware and roll out Web-based applications for 47 Progress Rail repair facilities in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Progress Rail workers will use the applications to capture car inspection information at the origin point, manage inventory, and create invoices and reports without duplicating data entry.

ExpressYard currently is used by regionals and short lines, and more than 100 contract repair shops in the United States and Canada.
