Global Railway Industries Ltd. recently named William Sturtz chief operating officer.
Most recently vice president of sourcing and director of business excellence for ALSTOM Signaling Inc., Sturtz has more than 20 years’ experience in engineering and manufacturing.
“The appointment is consistent with our plan to add depth to our senior management team at an operations level,” said Global Railway President and Chief Executive Officer Terry McManaman in a prepared statement.
Global Railway owns and operates Rafna Industries Ltd., G&B Specialties Inc., Bach-Simpson Corp. and Prime Railway Services, which supply event recorder monitoring/control systems, train speedometers, track and signal components, freight-car doors and rail gear.
