Holland L.P. last week hosted Peter Danos, suburban outreach and grants coordinator for U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), on a tour of its University Park facility south of Chicago.

Holland, which operates in 36 countries, hosted the event in coordination with the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) and the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA). Holland is a member of both associations.

On the tour, Holland President Jordan Wolf, Executive Vice President Business Development Russell Gehl and General Manager Rail Services North America Rob Rosencrans led an employee meeting with Danos, during which they discussed Holland's economic presence both domestic and abroad. NRC Vice President of Operations and REMSA Grassroots Event Manager Mike McGonagle also attended the tour.

"It was terrific hosting Peter at our facility today and getting the chance to hear what the senator and her staff are hearing on Capitol Hill," Wolf said. "The decisions that come from Capitol Hill have the chance to impact Holland both positively and negatively, so getting to hear from our senator’s staff on issues that matter to our industry was a great experience."

The University Park facility manufactures various railroad track components.
