Rail News: Maintenance Of Way
New Jersey Transit recently announced it would provide $10 million to help fund a new sewer beneath Observer Highway in Hoboken.
To be completed by the North Hudson Sewerage Authority, the project is expected to help mitigate flooding in southern Hoboken, home to NJ Transit’s 65-acre terminal and yard. The facility is prone to flooding during periods of heavy rain.
The funds are subject to board approval of an agreement NJ Transit is trying to reach with the sewerage authority.
