advertisement
North American Technologies Group Inc. (NATK) recently purchased a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility near Marshall, Texas, which will house two manufacturing lines for TieTek™ composite ties. The supplier expects to continue producing the ties at its Houston plant, as well.
Previously owned by Trinity Industries Inc., the Marshall facility features a dedicated rail spur and is located on Union Pacific Railroad's mainline.
"The plant offers many significant advantages for our expansion project [including] truck docks, high roofs, overhead cranes, concrete floors … electrical, plant air, water and office space," said NATK Project Engineering Manager Greg Krouse in a prepared statement.
NATK plans to renovate the facility and begin producing TieTek ties in spring 2004.
