The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's (PennDOT) Office of Public-Private Partnerships (P3) is accepting unsolicited proposals for transportation projects from the private sector until April 30.The submission period applies to PennDOT-owned projects and infrastructure. The department is seeking proposals for new ways to deliver transportation projects across a variety of modes, including rail, ports, roads, bridges and aviation. Additionally, proposals may include ideas for efficient management of transportation services and programs, PennDOT officials said in a press release.The state's new P3 law allows PennDOT and other transportation authorities and commissions to partner with private companies to deliver, maintain and finance transportation projects.
